Jack Dobies grew up in Grandview Heights, Ohio—just a short distance from the Merkel Wealth Management office. As Director of Growth, he focuses on building and strengthening the firm’s foundation through process standardization, documentation, technology integration, marketing, scheduling, and human resources. True to his name, Jack has become a “Jack of all trades,” contributing across multiple areas of the enterprise.
He currently holds his Series 7 license and is continuing to expand his financial expertise by pursuing additional licenses and certifications. Prior to joining Merkel, Jack worked as a technology consultant with Deloitte, where he gained valuable experience working with both large corporations and smaller firms—knowledge that has translated seamlessly into his work at Merkel.
Outside the office, Jack enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs in Upper Arlington. He is an avid skier (both water and snow), a passionate Ohio State football fan, and also enjoys board games, reading, and video games.
