Jeannie is a recent Columbus transplant originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and a valued member of the Merkel Wealth Management Operations Team. She earned her degree in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Georgia, but her early career found success in restaurant management and hospitality, where she helped lead award-winning cocktail programs.
In 2020, Jeannie transitioned into the mortgage industry, bringing her commitment to white-glove service to a new sector. She quickly gained recognition for her outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills in Loan Servicing, eventually earning her mortgage origination license and rising to the role of Loan Officer Assistant for top-producing agents in her firm.
Driven by a passion for client experience, finance, and lifelong learning, Jeannie made a natural pivot into wealth management. In her current role as Client Services Associate, she focuses on fostering strong client relationships, streamlining service processes, and supporting the firm’s continued growth.
Outside the office, Jeannie enjoys a balance of creativity and adventure. You’ll often find her at home knitting in front of the TV with her cats, exploring local hiking trails, or kayaking down the river. A self-proclaimed foodie and coffee enthusiast, she also loves discovering new restaurants and is always up for grabbing a fun little coffee.
